Lhasa-LuLang-Namjagbarwa-Namtso 7 Days

The Potala Palace:The Potala Palace of course is a must. Its gold roofs are visible all over Lhasa, but most notably from the roof of the Jokhang. Its easy to see why the first Western visitors to Tibet were utterly enchanted with Lhasa. The sense of achievement at having finally attained this remote city, even by airplane, is still very real. Lhasa sits in a huge crater formed by mountains surrounding it on all sides. In the middle sits the Potala, itself atop its own sizeable hill. In front of it spreads the city and the Kyichu river. Behind it a veritable tapestry of fields and flowers spreads back to the mountains. A more picturesque scene could scarcely be imagined.
The Namjagbarwa Peak:The Yarlung Zangbo River has a big turn at the juncture of four counties of Nyingchi, Mainlling, Medog and Bome. To the east of the turn stands the 7,782-meter-high Namagbarwa Peak, the 15th highest peak in the world. In face of the Indian Ocean, it reflects an obvious vertical landform. In its valley is tropical rain forest and above the snow line, it is a snow world.
Namsto Lake:Namsto Lake is the highest lake in the world and is 4,718 meters above sea level. It is 72 kilomters long from east to west and 30 kilometers wide from south to north. It has an area of 1,940 square kilometers. Some 60 kilometers to the northwest of Damxung County seat, it is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet and receives high respects among the local people. On the Tibetan year of sheep, pilgrims from faraway come here to walk around the lake. It takes more than 10 days to circle the lake once.
